Learn the basics of bird identification and explore a variety of habitats during the winter seasons.
With the leaves off of the trees spotting the birds is much easier. Our last walk we saw 20 species of birds!
Join us Saturday, January 9, 2016, for a free, beginner bird walk at Squirrel Lake Park guided by Tony Lombardo, an avid birder who has lead many bird walks for visitors to the Rockefeller University Field Research Center in Millbrook, NY and as a docent at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University.
The walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and last about 1.5 hours. Dress for the weather. We recommend waterproof shoes, long pants, and binoculars.
