Event: Birds and Butterfly Walk

Birds and Butterfly Walk
Jul
12

Join us for a Tuesday morning Bird and Butterfly Walk at Colonel Francis Beatty Park on July 12, 2016, 9:30 – 11:30 AM. Together, Tony Lombardino (birder extraordinaire and docent with the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University) and Angel Hjarding (Director, Pollinators & Wildlife Habitat Programs from the NC Wildlife Federation) will co-host our Birds and Butterfly Walk.

This walk is free and open to anyone with an interest, regardless of their birding skills. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. This is a rain or shine event, however if it rains the butterflies will not be flying and we will focus on birds.

If you can’t find us when you get there, call 704 819-3447. Dress for the weather. We recommend waterproof shoes, long pants, and binoculars.
