Explore a variety of habitats during our bird walk to celebrate National Go Birding Day.
Bring a friend and join us Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 8:00 AM, for a bird walk at Colonel Francis Beatty Park guided by Tony Lombardino, an avid birder who has lead many bird walks for visitors to the Rockefeller University Field Research Center in Millbrook, NY and as a docent at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University.
Don’t have binoculars, or interested in trying out some of the new products available, no worries, we will have some extra on hand to try. Something for all levels of birding – from beginning to advance! Plus pick up tips on birding by ear, migration, habitat and lots more! Follow the signs posted. If you can’t find us when you get there, call 704 819-3447. Dress for the weather. We recommend waterproof shoes, long pants, and binoculars.
