ABOUT MARTHA AND WILL KRAUSS

Martha and Will have lived in Matthews, NC for over 45 years. As avid gardners they enjoy growing vegetables, flowers and shrubs. About eight years ago they began to see a significant decline in honey bees that summer. A friend, who was a beekeeper, introduced them to the delight of beekeeping. They took a class at Union County and are now active beekeepers educating others in Mecklenburg and Union County on the importance bees have on our environment and helping bring awareness about the importance of pollinators.

Martha was instrumental in working with the Matthews Town Council for Matthews to become designated as a BeeCityUSA community.
